Presidential Scholars Program:
IDS 102.70 - PS Colloquium
This colloquium will assist first year Presidential Scholars in making a successful transition to Illinois State University as a Presidential Scholar. Through successful completion of this course, students will:
- Understand Presidential Scholars and Honors Program requirements and opportunities
- Develop an individualized educational plan of study
- Select a faculty colleague mentor in his or her major department
- Articulate the concept of civic engagement and the roles of a college student, including responsibilities as a person of integrity and social conscience
- Demonstrate knowledge of available resources on campus
- Develop a resume
- Articulate the importance of global education and the role of service to their academic and professional careers
