Portrait of Today's College Student
Co-PIs: Diane Dean & Arthur Levine

*** For Fall 2008 ****

We are in the final stages of a multi-year, multi-method study of today's undergraduate college students.  In this phase, we would welcome 1 or 2 honors students who would be interested in participating in either/both of the following:

a) assistance with administering a national survey to college students, involves assisting with preparation, mail out, data entry & analysis
b) assistance with literature review and identifying supplemental data on topics/issues related to today's undergraduate college students

We would also welcome student involvement/ cognitive apprenticeship in analyzing data sets from the study, identifying and discussing themes, etc. As this study is **about** college students, we would welcome college student involvement as we analyze findings.

Student Qualities:

  1. reliability & maturity
  2. attention to detail (if working on survey)
  3. resourcefulness, independence, critical thinking (if working on literature review)
  4. analytical thinking (if working on data analysis)
