"Your Choice" Assignment

"Your past cannot be lived again; but you can shape tomorrow by what you are making of yourself today." ~ Author Unknown

Assigned: Week 2, August 27 or 28
Due: Week 13, November 12 or 13
Points: 30

There are six workshop topics for this assignment. Read information about all six of the workshop options and be ready to make preliminary choices Week 4 (September 10 or 11, the week after Labor Day) for which workshop you choose to attend for this assignment.

After you attend “your choice,” you are to write a 3-page (double spaced) reflection paper summarizing what you learned. Describe what you confirmed or learned about yourself and how what you learned will help you in college situations (e.g., study habits, roommate issues, career choice, friendships, wellness, diversity issues, etc.). The paper is due Week 13, November 12 or 13, but you may turn it in earlier.

Ten points of extra credit can be earned if you choose to attend a second workshop and write a two-page reflection paper.

If seats allow, you can go to as many workshops as you choose, just for what can be learned from them.
