Membership Costs:
The Psi Chi international membership fee is $55. This one-time fee is for lifetime membership, a certificate suitable for framing, membership card, and an honors tassel to wear at your graduation ceremony. There are no annual international dues, but the Illinois State University chapter charges lifetime chapter dues of $25. This helps defray induction costs and some of the chapter activities. Thus, the total onetime cost for lifetime membership is $75.
Membership Benefits:
When you are inducted into Psi Chi, you are joining the only academic honors society in the field of Psychology. At your commencement ceremony you become eligible to wear the Psi Chi honor cord, medallion, jewelry, and emblems. Psi Chi members are eligible to present research papers/posters at Psi Chi programs held at national and regional conventions. In addition, members may participate in Psi Chi's undergraduate and graduate research award competitions, and undergraduate members may submit their research for publication in the Psi Chi Journal of Undergraduate Research. At the local chapter level, members are able to attend socials hosted by the club, participate in the club’s induction ceremony, and attend biweekly meetings pertaining to pertinent issues in psychology.
