Purpose/Description:
Phi Beta Belta recognizes high scholastic achievement of international and U.S. students. It is a support system that seeks to accomplish the following: 1) Meet study abroad returnee students' needs by giving them opportunities to share their experiences with fellow returnees as well as students who are seeking experience; 2) Provide a forum for students and faculty who pursue international interests and international students on study abroad here at ISU to work together to create opportunities for cross-cultural interactions, relationships, and activities; 3) Nationally recognize scholarly achievement of international students and scholars, U.S. students who have studied abroad and faculty and staff who are involved in international activities.

Membership Criteria:
Students may be nominated for membership by faculty or staff or may apply directly.

For juniors and seniors: minimum of 30 credit hours earned at ISU and a minimum 3.2 GPA based on credits earned at ISU.

For graduate students: minimum of 12 credit hours earned at ISU and a minimum 3.5 GPA based on credits earned at ISU.

Note: International students must be non-immigrant visa holders.

Membership Costs:
A $60 fee for the initial membership and then $35 annual dues.

Membership Benefits:
Phi Beta Delta has national recognition and it helps keep the study abroad spirit alive.
