Purpose/Description:
The mission of Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement and personal excellence in the study and practice of Business.
Membership Criteria:
College of Business students are eligible for membership if they rank in the upper 7 percent of COB juniors, upper 10 percent of COB seniors, or the upper 20 percent of master's degree recipients in the spring of each academic year.
Membership Costs:
$55 for lifetime membership.
Membership Benefits:
Scholastic recognition is the major benefit of membership. Beta Gamma Sigma is promoted to business and industry via business periodicals. There are now alumni chapters around the country, which provide future opportunities to network with other professionals. Also, national scholarship opportunities are available to members in any given year if the ISU Chapter has 70% of more of its eligible students accept the invitation for membership.

This is strictly an academic honorary organization. Students who want to become involved can be part of the planning committee for the annual ceremony.
