Purpose/Description:
Beta Alpha Psi is a national scholastic and professional fraternity for Financial Information Professionals. The primary objective of the fraternity is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the financial information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance, and information systems, providing opportunities for self-development and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social and public responsibility.

Membership Criteria:
Students majoring in Accounting, Finance or Information Systems are eligible for membership. For a pledge, 30 hours completed and an overall and major GPA of 3.0 are required. For full membership, students must have at least 60 hours completed, including at least one upper division (200-level) course in the student's major (excluding College of Business core courses). In addition, an overall GPA of 3.0 and a major GPA of 3.0, excluding College of Business core courses, are required.

Membership Costs:
There is a one time membership fee of $75, of which $45 is dues to the national organization.

The benefits of membership include participation in chapter events, recognition of academic achievement, an established and respected national parent organization, and opportunities for involvement and leadership.
