Christie Proctor is an Honors alum of Illinois State, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in May 2002 as a Presidential Scholar, and a Master of Science degree in Sociology in May 2007. She joined the Honors Program staff as the Coordinator of Student Programs in June 2002.

Christie coordinates the Honors Freshman Seminar and co-facilitates three sections. She also serves as the Honors Program's webmaster and is responsible for awarding Honors designations, such as the Sophomore Honors Scholar designation and the various graduation designations. Christie is the advisor to the Honors Student Organization.

Christie is the Honors advisor who meets with students who have majors in the College of Education, College of Fine Arts, or the Mennonite College of Nursing, as well as students majoring in History or Political Science.
